Livestock Philippines 2015
International Conference

The Philippines’ climb to economic prominence continues as it is touted by global think tanks like the International Monetary Fund, Asian Development Bank and Goldman Sachs to be Southeast Asia’s growth leader in 2015 with a projected economic growth of 6.7%, from 6.1% in 2014.

Complementing the country’s good economic performance is its rising demand for food and meat. According to the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, per capita consumption for meat has increased from 24 kilograms in 2010 to 32 kilograms in 2014. This is expected to jump to 34 kg in 2016 on rising consumer spending brought about by bigger investments, modest inflation and overall good business environment, resulting to higher incomes of average households. Data from the Philippine Statistics Authority show that the country’s poultry and livestock production continue to expand by an average growth of 4% or a combined value of more than PHP100 billion in the last three years.

With livestock’s sterling performance, an event showcasing the best that the industry has to offer is perfectly fitting. As such, Livestock Philippines has become the premier event that brings together the finest in Philippine livestock, animal health and feed sectors to create the best business opportunities for major industry stakeholders from all over the world.

Since its inception in 2011, Livestock Philippines has earned the reputation of becoming one of the most awaited agricultural events in the country as it gathers global trade players altogether to witness the rapid progress of the country’s livestock and feed sectors as well as interact with international and local experts.
