Against African Swine Fever
African Swine Fever now ripples across Asia. Although the Philippines is ASF-free, the government issued a ban on importing pork products. It has also directed all quarantine posts in the Philippines to check the possible entry of pork products in various airports and seaports. With Livestock Philippines, we take the extra step to make sure that the entire exhibition and participants are ASF-free.
What are the preventive measures
of Livestock Philippines during the event?
Livestock Philippines will NOT showcase any live animals during the 3-day event.
There will be no pork or meat products in the exhibition.
The biosecurity tunnel will be equipped with disinfectant sprays anddisinfectant mats. Visitors / exhibitors will be required to walk through for sanitation purposes.
An ASF Seminar Forum will be conducted on 28 June 2019, Friday. Swine industry experts will be discussing preventive measures and shared knowledge about ASF.
Always remember BABES approach as stated by the Bureau of Animal Industry
Prior to attend Livestock Philippines 2019, we would also like to request all our exhibitors, visitors, guests and participants to refrain from visiting hog farms.
Livestock Philippines is one with the government agencies and private trade associations in their efforts to prevent ASF from entering the country.
